This is a dual-function role that ensures engineering designs are flawless, compliant with industry standards. This position prevents costly rework and guarantees that the engineering design provides the descriptive data necessary for Manufacturing to produce the product.
What you will be doing:
Drawing Checking Verification:
Review engineering drawings and 3D Model datasets for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
Standards Compliance:
Ensure drawings adhere strictly to aerospace standards, such as
ASME Y14.5
(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing/GD&T) and aerospace industry standards.
Manufacturability:
Evaluate designs for manufacturability, ensuring materials, finishes, and dimensions can be reliably produced.
Dispute Resolution:
Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturing teams to correct errors, missing data, or dimensioning conflicts Configuration Management (CM) Review engineering drawing hierarchy and appropriate aircraft usage/applicability data to ensure configuration control of engineering designs. Familiarity with configuration management What you must have:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related technical field (or an equivalent combination of formal training and experience can be used as a substitute for degree).
CAD & Software:
Proficiency in aerospace
CAD/PLM/PDM
tools such as SolidWorks, SolidWorks
PDM, CATIA
V5,
SolidWorks, or AutoCAD Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing, engineering drawing interpretation, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
