About the Position - Responsibilities & Duties At Waga Energy, strong office IT support ensures our teams have the tools and systems they need to do their best work in driving our clean energy mission. To support our growing U.S. operations, this role will be the primary IT point of contact in the United States and will play a critical part in ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT support for U.S. operations. You'll be the only on‑site IT team member in the U.S., which means you'll have a high level of ownership and independence in your day‑to‑day work. You'll have a local U.S. manager and be fully supported by Waga Energy's experienced global IT team based in France, who provide tools, guidance, and foster collaboration within a shared international mission. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, proactive, and solving problems independently—while also being part of a global, mission‑driven organization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help build and scale the U.S. IT presence in the coming years as the organization continues to expand. Associated responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technical Support & Operations Provide first-level IT support across the Group Manage the full lifecycle of IT equipment (procurement, setup, deployment, decommissioning) Handle user account creation and access management (onboarding/offboarding) Troubleshoot network connectivity and coordinate with local internet providers Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory for the Americas region; manage equipment and consumable orders Cybersecurity & Compliance Handle Level 1 investigation and follow-up of Group-level cybersecurity incidents, leveraging time zone coverage Validate software requests in coordination with
Group IT:
ensure proper procurement and review before deployment Support user awareness on security best practices Coordination & Communication Act as the bridge between local teams and the Group IT Department in France Ensure Group IT standards and policies are understood and applied locally Coordinate with local vendors and service providers Write and maintain user documentation to promote autonomy IT Projects & Continuous Improvement Participate in regional IT projects and deployments Identify local needs, gaps, and areas for improvement; report them to Group IT About You - Qualifications & Skills The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, self‑motivated professional with a passion for sustainability, and: A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of IT support experience in a corporate or multi-site environment providing Level 1 end-user technical support.
