N /A Primary function: Provide functional analysis and software/web application support to all users with priority focus on the college?s two main enterprise systems; Technolutions Slate (student recruitment CRM) and Ellucian Colleague (Student Information System). Duties include programming, database management, data integrity analysis, systems analysis, business analysis, and report creation and modifications. Administer the technical aspects of Slate while serving as a technical liaison between Admissions and other internal/external constituents. Finally, develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain custom, third-party, web, and mobile applications.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Science, or a related area of study, or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum five years of experience (including academic coursework) in programming and analysis in Enterprise systems and databases along with web and mobile application development. Proficiency and good knowledge of wide range of software programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word), OneDrive, Windows Server, and SharePoint. Experience with administering, maintaining and querying server platforms of MS SQL. Experience and knowledge of various programming languages and technologies such as
ASP.NET, C
#, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and PowerShell. Experience or knowledge with data integration using APIs, custom programs, scripting, SSMS, and 3rd party tools. Experience with Colleague ERP, Entrinsik Informer, and Slate a plus.
Essential Duties:
Design, implement, and analyze reports to determine the overall trends of the organization. Develop and provide training, demonstrations, and regular communication to end-users. Troubleshoot application, system, and data issues; diagnose root causes; implement corrective solutions; escalate complex issues. Research emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices to improve capabilities and development processes. Collect, analyze, and synthesize data from multiple sources to support reporting, decision-making, and system performance evaluation. Define, create, and build data warehouse architecture and data systems to optimize data access, consistency, accuracy, and capabilities. Develop, test, analyze, and implement extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes in order to accurately and efficiently pull and organize data into a warehouse; define and document data integration strategies. Test and verify the structure, accuracy, and quality of warehouse data. Use third-party applications to append and manage data, ensuring the data warehouse remains accurate and up to date. Discuss data projects with end users; assess and verify requirements and business needs to determine the appropriate specifications and the necessary systems needed to accomplish goals. Resolve end-user data and report issues; troubleshoot data warehouse daily load jobs; verify results and communicate resolution/findings. Develop data warehouse process models; create data dictionaries to provide thorough and clear definitions of data; map data to illustrate the flow between systems.
Other duties:
Develop end user training schedule and execute it, support learning systems group in designing. Create technical support documentation and keep it updated. Follow guides and documentation to implement new software, update existing software, and to perform upgrades. Serve as a responsible and professional staff member by participating in I.T. staff meetings and other functions (training of student workers, processing of timesheets, institutional activities, etc.); ensuring documentation, policies, and procedures are created and followed in-line with current standards and are properly maintained according to established procedures and forms. Assist with ensuring the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of ?personal information? by protecting against any potential threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such information including unauthorized access to, or use of, such information in a manner that creates a substantial security risk of misuse, theft, or fraud.
