New Castle, PA Position Overview Berner International LLC is offering a Summer IT Internship for a motivated student who is interested in exploring a future career in Information Technology. This role is designed as a learning focused experience that introduces students to a professional IT environment. The intern will work alongside Berner's IT team, gaining hands on exposure to technology support, systems, and basic IT operations that support day to day business activities. Job Responsibilities Assist with basic IT support tasks, including helping employees with common computer and technology issues. Help set up and configure laptops, monitors, printers, and other equipment. Support software installation and updates. Help organize IT equipment and maintain inventory records. Assist with simple documentation and process improvement efforts. Observe and learn about cybersecurity practices, system administration, and IT project work. Program Takeaways How an IT department supports a real-world business Basics of technical troubleshooting and customer support Professional workplace communication and collaboration Exposure to IT systems, tools, and best practices A foundation that prepares you for college coursework or future internships Capstone Project As part of the internship experience, interns will complete a capstone project focused on identifying and improving a real business or process-related challenge. Working in collaboration with their manager, interns will: Identify a problem or opportunity within their area Analyze the current state and propose a solution or improvement Implement or outline steps taken to address the issue Evaluate the impact of their work At the conclusion of the internship, interns will deliver a 10-15 minute presentation summarizing their project, including the problem identified, actions taken, results achieved, and recommendations for future continuation or improvement. Qualifications and Skills A high school or college student Interest in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Basic familiarity with computers, operating systems (Windows), and common applications (Microsoft Office) Willingness to learn, ask questions, and follow instructions Strong attention to detail and a positive, professional attitude Ability to work reliably and communicate clearly with team members This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
