Job Description

The Systems Programmer/Analyst I will assist the Translational Neuropsychopharmacology and Neuroimaging Lab by preprocessing and quality‐assuring multimodal neuroimaging data; developing and maintaining scripts for statistical analysis and automated reporting; troubleshooting technical issues and providing tier‐1 support to faculty, postdocs, and students; creating training materials and implementing SOPs for data handling and compliance; and collaborating with the PI, research staff, and trainees to translate study requirements into reliable, reproducible technical solutions. This position is grant funded.
  • Responsibilities:

Neuroimaging & QA Data Analysis:
Preprocess, quality‐assure, and analyze multimodal neuroimaging datasets; ensure data integrity and reproducibility. +
Statistical Scripting & Automation:
Develop, test, and maintain scripts (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) for statistical analyses, batch processing, and automated reporting. +
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Serve as first‐line support for software, hardware, and network issues; assist faculty, postdocs, and students with technical challenges. +
Training & SOP Implementation:
Create and deliver user guides and workshops; develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures for data handling and compliance. +
Collaboration & Project Coordination:
Partner with the PI, collaborators, research staff, and trainees to translate study requirements into technical solutions and track system deliverables. + A four-year STEM degree- such as Data engineering, Computer science, Bioengineering or related field preferred. + Advanced SAS programming skills and experience in other statistical software, such as R, Python, Stan, Julia, and MATLAB. + Understanding of statistical models and hypothesis testing, experience in data visualization tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, and ggplot. + Experience with functional neuroimaging data, Linux operating systems, and version control platforms such as GitHub, are preferred.
