$60-65/hr Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on FAST Distribution Operations Specialist / FAST Analyst to support the configuration, launch, operation, and troubleshooting of 24/7 FAST and streaming channels. This role sits at the intersection of
FAST/OTT
streaming operations and cloud engineering . The ideal candidate has personally configured and launched streaming channels using AWS Media Services , understands
FAST/CTV
partner requirements, and is comfortable owning production issues from initial detection through resolution. This is not solely a monitoring or broadcast operations position. We are looking for someone who can take technical specifications from
FAST/CTV
partners, translate those requirements into AWS configurations, help stand up new channels, and then support those channels in a large-scale production environment. The role is approximately 70% operations/analysis and 30% engineering/configuration . Key Responsibilities Configure and launch new
FAST/OTT
channels within an existing AWS streaming environment. Translate technical requirements from
FAST/CTV
platforms and partners such as Roku, Samsung, Pluto TV, and similar providers into channel and feed configurations. Configure and support AWS Media Services , with a strong emphasis on AWS Elemental MediaLive . Work with services such as MediaConnect, MediaPackage, and MediaTailor as required by streaming workflows. Work within existing AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and/or Terraform frameworks to implement infrastructure and configuration changes. Monitor 24/7 streaming workflows to ensure channel availability, content continuity, audio/video quality, and reliable delivery to distribution partners. Troubleshoot streaming incidents across cloud, feed, station, application, and partner environments. Serve as an initial technical point of contact when production issues occur, performing hands-on diagnosis and remediation before escalating when necessary. Support onboarding, testing, validation, migrations, and configuration changes for FAST feeds and distribution partners. Work directly with external
FAST/CTV
partners and vendors to troubleshoot feed and delivery issues. Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting processes designed to identify failures and reduce MTTD and MTTR. Analyze recurring incidents and recommend improvements to tooling, automation, configurations, and operational processes. Maintain documentation covering streaming workflows, feed configurations, partner requirements, troubleshooting procedures, runbooks, and escalation paths. Coordinate with technical, business, station, streaming, application, and infrastructure teams. Provide clear handoffs of active incidents and priorities to offshore team members supporting 24/7 operations. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience supporting FAST, CTV, OTT, or 24/7 linear streaming channels . Demonstrated experience configuring and launching streaming channels , rather than solely monitoring existing feeds. Strong hands-on experience with AWS Media Services , particularly AWS Elemental MediaLive . Experience with AWS MediaConnect and ideally MediaPackage and/or MediaTailor. Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code , including AWS CDK, CloudFormation, and/or Terraform. Ability to work within an established IaC environment and make configuration/deployment changes without needing to architect the framework from scratch. Experience interpreting technical specifications from
FAST/CTV
platforms, vendors, or distribution partners. Hands-on production troubleshooting experience across streaming feeds, cloud infrastructure, applications, and distribution workflows. Experience supporting multiple channels or feeds in a high-volume, always-on streaming environment. Ability to own technical issues from detection and diagnosis through resolution. Experience working directly with external vendors and technology partners. Strong understanding of operational incident management and technical ticket workflows. Excellent organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical issues and their business impact to different audiences. Preferred Qualifications Experience working directly with
FAST/CTV
platforms such as Roku, Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV , or similar distribution partners. Experience supporting enterprise-scale media or streaming environments. Familiarity with ITIL practices, incident/problem management, ServiceNow, CMDBs, and knowledge management. Experience collaborating with offshore teams in a 24/7 support model. Experience improving streaming reliability through monitoring, automation, standardized configurations, and operational tooling. Background spanning both streaming engineering and production operations. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be a technical problem solver who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving streaming environment. You should be able to understand a partner's technical requirements, determine what needs to change within the AWS environment, implement or coordinate that configuration, validate the channel, and troubleshoot it when something goes wrong. We are particularly interested in candidates who can clearly describe what they personally built, configured, launched, and troubleshot . The strongest candidates will combine
FAST/OTT
domain expertise, AWS Media Services experience, Infrastructure as Code knowledge, production troubleshooting ability, and strong operational ownership .
