Information Technology Full Job Description Summary:
Under the direction of the Implementation Lead, the Implementation Specialist is responsible for assisting in the design, configuration, implementation and delivery of documentation and processes required for the efficient operation of new and existing divisions and programs to McGowan. The Implementation Specialist participates in the ongoing design, development, and delivery of the documentation and processes for new and existing divisions and programs. The Implementation Specialist uses independent judgment and discretion in evaluating the operational needs of new and existing divisions and programs to McGowan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Responsible for the proper setup of our Agency Management systems to accommodate the new employees and programs in terms of setting up user credentials, workflows, coding, document templates, policy templates and any other item required in accordance with business rules.
  • Responsible for acting as a point of contact for the Program Lead regarding proper system setup and integration with current company processes and procedures.
  • Participate in Acquisitions Due Diligence interviews with new and existing employees and/or Program Leads to assess current workflows to determine how they will be integrated into McGowan's processes.
  • Communicating with the Program Lead to get a detailed picture of the Program Lead's wants, needs and desires for their program to operate efficiently within the McGowan environment.
  • Gather information regarding the needs of the Program Lead to customize the various software systems to suit their individual program(s). This typically involves tasks such as importing preexisting client data, designing custom interfaces, modifying metrics, and creating custom reports.
  • Managing the process of integrating new acquisitions into the company's current Agency Management software through conversion, data entry, etc.
  • Work with the Training Department to ensure that the established workflows have been thoroughly vetted and are ready for deployment to new and existing employees and/or Program Leads.
  • Collaborate with other departments within McGowan to ensure that the new acquisition or Program is being processed in the most efficient manner with the least impact on current McGowan procedures and workflows.
  • Remaining current with changes to Agency management software that may affect the company's business. This could include attending software vendor conferences in person, attending informational webinars, etc.
  • Travel is required.
