Come grow with us and help make healthcare—and the communities we serve—stronger. The IT Hardware Asset Associate oversees the day-to-day lifecycle of the organization's physical technology assets. This role is responsible for receiving, tracking, deploying, and securely disposing of hardware components. A successful candidate will maintain data accuracy within our inventory systems and proactively identify opportunities to improve our hardware management workflows.

Responsibilities Hardware Lifecycle Management Inventory Tracking :
Oversee the physical receiving, tagging, and logging of all incoming technology hardware.
Status Monitoring :
Update the Asset Management Database (AMDB) to reflect real-time location and assignment changes.
Secure Disposal :
Coordinate retirement, data destruction, and eco-friendly recycling of obsolete IT equipment.
Process & Governance Data Reconciliation :
Run routine audits to verify physical inventory against network discovery tools.
Process Documentation :
Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hardware handling and distribution, current state and future state.
Loss Prevention :
Identify discrepancies in inventory counts and investigate missing or misplaced physical assets.
Process Improvement :
Help improve asset tracking controls, documentation, and workflow consistency across the organization.
Vendor & User Support Deployment Support :
Partner with the IT Service Desk and HR to streamline hardware asset tracking for onboarding and offboarding.
Vendor Coordination :
Work with logistics partners and hardware vendors to track shipments and resolve order errors.
Procurement Support :
Serve as backup to the IT Procurement Specialist.
Qualifications Experience & Education Education :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience :
1 to 3 years of experience in an IT support or asset management environment.
Skills & Competencies Technical Savvy :
Basic familiarity with hardware components (laptops, servers, monitors, networking gear).
Data Accuracy :
Strong attention to detail & data accuracy with standard spreadsheets (Excel/SmartSheet) for bulk data entries.
System Familiarity :
Experience using IT Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice) is a plus.
Leadership Traits :
Strong self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to take ownership of administrative workflows.
Collaboration:
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and operational partners.
Physical Requirements Lifting :
Ability to lift and move IT equipment packages weighing up to 40 pounds routinely.
