$40-$44/hr (W2) Position Summary Our client is a leading organization within the electrical utility sector. They are seeking an experienced OpenGrid Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert supporting their Outage Management System (OMS) implementation. In this role, you will provide hands-on technical guidance across system logic, data management, and infrastructure upgrades while working independently to resolve complex issues and drive long-term solutions. Key Responsibilities Serve as subject matter expert for the OMS implementation (OpenGrid Network, formerly PragmaUP/PragmaLINE), supporting system logic, data integrity, customer communications, and operational activities Contribute to upcoming database and server OS upgrades, including OMS configuration, testing, and hands-on technical support Evaluate hardware and software deliveries for integration into the operational baseline Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analysis, and supportability assessments across the full system lifecycle Translate customer and product requirements into comprehensive system solutions that account for technical, schedule, and cost constraints Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition to develop hardware and software specifications Act independently to identify and resolve issues arising from the development and implementation of operational projects Develop and recommend long-range goals and objectives Research, design, and develop advanced technological solutions that inform major decision-making recommendations Education & Experience Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; PhD preferred Specialized certification may be required 15+ years of experience in complex systems analysis, consulting, project management, and technical recommendations Knowledge & Skills Hands-on experience with electrical utility Outage Management Applications and back-office support Deep expertise in OpenGrid Network (formerly PragmaUP/PragmaLINE) SQL database proficiency Python programming skills Windows server maintenance and operational support experience Strong analytical capabilities across concept, design, implementation, and disposal phases Proven consulting and project management skills Ability to design and develop advanced technological solutions and provide strategic recommendations ...
