Project Manager / Business Analyst / Project Lead - ELN/LIMS Implementation (Life Sciences) About the Role As a Project Manager / Business Analyst / Project Lead - ELN/LIMS Implementation , you will make an impact by leading the end-to-end implementation of Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions within regulated laboratory environments. You will be a valued member of the Life Sciences Consulting team and work collaboratively with laboratory operations, Quality, Validation, IT, business stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and business-aligned laboratory informatics solutions. In this role, you will serve as both a project lead and business analyst, driving requirements gathering, solution implementation, validation activities, and stakeholder alignment while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards. In This Role, You Will Lead end-to-end
ELN/LIMS
implementation projects from planning, requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, and post-implementation support. Partner with business stakeholders, laboratory teams, IT organizations, and vendors to gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements. Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, process maps, and implementation roadmaps while ensuring complete traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Support system configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, and adoption activities to ensure successful solution deployment. Oversee validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, change control, and compliance documentation within regulated environments. Occasional travel may be required to client locations for workshops, project meetings, testing activities, training sessions, and implementation support. What You Need to Have to Be Considered Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience delivering Life Sciences, laboratory informatics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industry technology projects. Experience leading ELN and/or LIMS implementation projects within laboratory environments. Hands-on experience gathering business requirements, developing functional specifications, creating process maps, and managing stakeholder expectations. Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, sample management, laboratory operations, and scientific data management processes. Experience supporting system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, and deployment activities. Strong knowledge of GxP, GLP, c
GMP, GAMP
5, CSV, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and compliance requirements. Experience managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, validation activities, and project documentation. Strong communication, leadership, facilitation, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies. implementations. Experience implementing laboratory informatics platforms for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, or quality control laboratories. PMP, Agile, Scrum, CBAP, or related project management and business analysis certifications. Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party implementation partners. Knowledge of laboratory instruments, laboratory automation systems, and scientific software integrations. Experience supporting Computer System Validation (CSV) and regulatory inspection readiness activities. Familiarity with cloud-based laboratory informatics platforms and digital laboratory transformation initiatives. Experience leading global or multi-site laboratory system deployments. Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is anticipated to be between $125,000 and $140,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, and other job-related factors. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
