The successful candidate will apply programming and systems-analysis expertise to translate operational needs into effective technical solutions, evaluate system requirements, develop program specifications, and resolve complex data-processing and software-integration challenges. This individual will collaborate with users, developers, engineers, and technical leadership to analyze requirements, assess alternative solutions, design system enhancements, and ensure compatibility among interrelated programs, files, records, and data sources. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining program logic and code; diagnosing software defects; conducting feasibility and impact analyses; testing and documenting changes; preparing operating instructions; and supporting the implementation of new or modified systems. The position may also provide technical direction to junior personnel and lead defined portions of larger development or modernization efforts. Required Skills Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance. Demonstrated experience developing, modifying, testing, debugging, integrating, and maintaining software programs in accordance with approved requirements and technical specifications. Experience performing systems analysis, developing program or system specifications, evaluating technical alternatives, and assessing the effects of proposed changes on related applications, data, and users. Ability to work independently, apply sound technical judgment, resolve complex programming or data-processing problems, and deliver accurate work within established standards and schedules. Experience preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including program logic, test results, system changes, operating procedures, and user or operator instructions. Desired Skills Bachelor's degree Relevant industry certification(s) - including IASAE Level 1 Experience designing or maintaining complex, multi-user systems that integrate diverse data sources, interrelated programs, files, records, or output formats. Proficiency with applicable programming languages, scripting languages, database technologies, version-control systems, and software-development tools. Experience supporting scientific, engineering, statistical, signal-processing, data-reduction, command-and-control, logistics, financial, personnel, inventory, or other mission-oriented applications. Knowledge of software-development lifecycle practices, configuration management, change control, system integration, cybersecurity, and automated testing. Experience conducting feasibility studies, analyzing cost and schedule considerations, identifying gaps or conflicts in user requirements, and recommending balanced technical solutions. Demonstrated ability to guide junior programmers or analysts, coordinate work across technical teams, and serve as a technical lead for assigned projects or system components.
