Jr. Configuration Analyst, El Paso Health University Medical Center of El Paso - 3.8 El Paso, TX Job Details Full-time 20 hours ago Qualifications Medical claims Medical coding Medical billing Associate's degree Full Job Description Job Summary Responsible for analyzing, interpreting and configuring the software systems according to Policy, Procedures and Regulations. Participates in the evaluation, configuration and maintenance of new or existing systems. May serve as an inter-departmental liaison or subject matter expert to ensure effective and efficient utilization, configuration or maintenance of systems. Assists Configuration Analysts with the coordination of the activities within the Configuration Team. Skills 1. Great written and oral communication skills. 2. Proficient in operation of computerized applications. 3. Great functional and detailed analysis skills with process-oriented focus is required. 4. Proficient in creative problem-solving and excellent analytical skills. 5. Strong time management skills. 6. Ability to work independently or in a team setting. 7. Must show initiative and be willing to regularly re-prioritize workload. 8. Must have knowledge of Healthcare and an understanding of medical claims, billing and coding. Work Experience Two years of experience working in healthcare setting with experience in understanding and interpreting State and Federal regulation highly preferred. Understanding of government programs such as Medicare and Medicaid highly preferred. Familiarity with medical claims, medical billing and/or coding highly preferred. Configuration of supporting software systems with special emphasis in Medicaid or Medicare is a plus. License/Registration/Certification None Education and Training Associate degree in Computer Information Systems or related field required.
