  • SAP IBP is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions to support enterprise ERP transformation and Parts Distribution Center (PDC) initiatives.
This role serves as the technical lead for SAP IBP Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Response & Supply, and Inventory Optimization, ensuring scalable, high-performance planning solutions that align with business objectives. The consultant partners with cross-functional business and IT teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP IBP solutions while driving continuous improvement, system performance, and planning excellence. Job Responsibilities Design, configure, and optimize SAP IBP solutions, including Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Response & Supply, and Inventory Optimization. Develop and maintain SAP IBP solution architecture aligned with enterprise technology strategy and ERP transformation initiatives. Configure and support SAP integration technologies, including CPI-DS, SDI, and RTI. Design planning solutions capable of supporting high-volume transaction processing and exception-based planning environments. Lead business requirements gathering sessions and evaluate standard SAP IBP capabilities against business needs. Recommend configuration solutions, enhancements, workarounds, and alternative approaches where necessary. Design and optimize planning areas, key figures, master data models, and planning processes. Support data readiness activities, including data cleansing, transformation, and harmonization. Ensure seamless integration between
SAP IBP, SAP ERP
(ECC/S4), and external systems, including analytics and data platforms. Collaborate with Supply Chain, Parts Operations, and IT stakeholders to prioritize solution delivery and roadmap planning. Support ERP transformation and phased implementation initiatives, including blueprinting, deployment, post-go-live support, and continuous improvement. Lead or support the complete solution lifecycle, including design, build, testing, deployment, user acceptance testing (UAT), and hypercare. Develop and maintain solution documentation, architecture artifacts, and governance standards. Promote SAP IBP best practices while ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high-performing planning solutions. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Minimum of five (5) years of SAP IBP implementation, solution architecture, or consulting experience. Demonstrated expertise in SAP IBP Demand Planning, Supply Planning/Response & Supply, and Inventory Optimization. Hands-on experience with SAP CPI-DS, SDI, and RTI integration technologies. Experience integrating SAP IBP with SAP ERP (ECC and/or S/4HANA). Strong experience designing solutions for high-volume, exception-based planning environments. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions. Experience participating in the full software development lifecycle, including solution architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and support. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Work Experience Minimum of five (5) years of SAP IBP implementation and architecture experience required. Experience with aftermarket, parts distribution, or distribution-intensive business environments preferred. Experience supporting ERP transformation or multi-ERP consolidation programs preferred. Experience with data lake or analytics platforms preferred. Experience evaluating SAP IBP limitations and recommending alternative solutions preferred.
