  • Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Security and Patching Support Analyst to join our cybersecurity team.
This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our IT infrastructure through effective security management and timely system patching. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting security operations, implementing vulnerability mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as
NIST, ISO 27000
series, and FedRAMP. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a robust security posture within a dynamic organization committed to technological excellence. Duties The Systems Security and Patching Support Analyst is responsible for managing the distribution of security releases (patches, updates, upgrades) across company-owned infrastructure and third-party software. This role involves independently executing patch lifecycle activities, maintaining audit-ready documentation, generating compliance reports, and ensuring adherence to change management and regulatory processes. The analyst supports vulnerability remediation and escalates risks when deadlines or compliance issues arise.
Responsibilities:
Track, document, and implement security releases from receipt to validation or mitigation. Coordinate with teams and application owners to schedule patch activities. Maintain accurate records within configuration management and change control processes. Monitor deadlines, escalate risks, and ensure compliance with policies. Generate patch compliance, vulnerability remediation, and performance reports. Support audits and regulatory activities with validated documentation. Contribute to process improvements in patch tracking and reporting workflows.
MUST HAVE
Proficient in administering or supporting Windows and Linux server 2+ years of Patch Management experience (Evaluate and prioritize patches released by software vendors, deploy patches across systems and applications, ensuring minimal disruption) Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT or related field Experience in administering vulnerability remediation processes Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, structured data analysis)
