Summer 2027 (IT) Intern -
Digital Workplace Services Summary:
As an IT Intern, you'll play a key role in supporting the technology that keeps our manufacturing and business operations running smoothly. You'll gain hands-on experience troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, implementing new technologies, and participating in projects that improve the overall digital workplace experience. Throughout the summer, you'll work alongside experienced IT professionals while partnering with employees across multiple departments to solve real business challenges. You'll have the opportunity to develop technical expertise in end-user support, networking, hardware deployment, Microsoft technologies, and IT project coordination while gaining exposure to how technology enables success in a global manufacturing environment. This internship is ideal for students who enjoy problem-solving, learning new technologies, and delivering outstanding customer service while making a visible impact on the business.
Responsibilities Include:
During your internship, you may: Provide frontline technical support to employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Assist with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other workplace technologies. Support IT projects and technology initiatives that improve productivity, user experience, and operational efficiency. Partner with IT specialists, business stakeholders, and site leadership to identify and implement technology solutions. Help coordinate hardware deployments, workstation setups, software installations, and equipment upgrades. Participate in network, infrastructure, and digital workplace support activities across multiple site locations. Monitor and escalate technical issues to specialized IT teams while tracking progress through resolution. Assist with maintaining IT documentation, processes, standards, and compliance requirements. Support meeting technologies, collaboration tools, and executive user requests as needed. Research emerging technologies and contribute ideas that improve IT services and business operations. Help evaluate opportunities for process improvements and automation within the IT environment. Build strong working relationships with end users while delivering responsive, customer-focused support. Projects You May Work On Examples of projects may include: Digital workplace technology upgrades and deployments Hardware refresh and workstation migration initiatives Process improvement and automation projects Microsoft 365 optimization and user adoption efforts Network and infrastructure support initiatives IT asset management and lifecycle improvements Site technology modernization projects End-user experience enhancement initiatives
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role Currently pursuing an Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong interest in IT support, networking, systems administration, digital workplace technologies, or infrastructure. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, and Microsoft technologies. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical users. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a customer-focused mindset. Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment and travel across site locations as needed. Ability to lift, install, and configure basic IT equipment, including workstations, monitors, printers, and network-connected devices.
The following are preferred qualifications:
Coursework or hands-on experience in networking, cybersecurity, systems administration, cloud technologies, or technical support. Exposure to Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or similar enterprise technologies. Experience troubleshooting personal computers, printers, or mobile devices. Familiarity with IT service management or ticketing systems.
Program Qualifications:
The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship. The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.

Base Pay Range:
$22.00 - $26.00 The base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
