Job Description Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Senior and Lead Nondestructive Evaluation Technical Analyst, (NDE), to join our team in Berkeley, MO. As the NDE Lab focal. We are looking for a range of experience, including Senior and Lead level NDE Technicians to lead Nondestructive Evaluation testing in the Berkeley, MO. lab. The Midwest Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) and Fleet Support team is part of the BDS Engineering department. We are an engineering team supporting space, commercial and defense air vehicles programs such as: 787, 777X, F-15, F-18, AV-8B, T-7A, T-45, MQ-25, KC-46, P-8, B-52, B-1, KC-135, Executive Transport platforms, Commercial Crew Transportation, Space Launch, and weapon systems. Our team is responsible for NDE Engineering supporting of pre-production, current production, and post-production efforts. Along with supporting the aforementioned space commercial and defense programs; the team provides supplier standup/certification, fabrication support/trouble-shooting and fleet support activities across the Boeing value stream. The team also conducts NDE research and development for both internal and external customers. Our team is located in three cities: Huntsville, AL; Oklahoma City, OK; and St. Louis, MO. We are engineers and technicians, skilled scientists and bold innovators; Join us and put your passion, determination, and skill to work building the future! #TheFutureIsBuiltHere #ChangeTheWorld Your Responsibilities Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic principles, in performing complex analysis and evaluation of parts, materials, processes, technology or equipment through research and testing to ensure safety, reliability and adherence to requirements and specifications. Leads, coordinates, and conducts complex analysis of failed parts and processes to reduce or eliminate future failures. Generates test plans, identifies, and categorizes failure, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations. Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations. Leads the proposal, development, and validation of revisions to procedures and specifications. Determines suitability of parts, materials and processes and coordinates resolution of complex issues with suppliers and customers. Support audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert. Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by leading the design, development, fabrication, testing, evaluation and implementation of new concepts and technology. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians. Supports the Team Lead and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation. What We Are Looking For Associates degree or higher 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of Catia V5 or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
NAS 410 NDT
Level 2 with ASNT Qualifications in a minimum of two of the following NDE disciplines: Magnetic Particle (MT), Liquid Penetrant (PT), Ultrasonic (UT), Radiography (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Infrared Thermography (IRT) Ability to travel 10% of the time What We Offer Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities.
