IT Systems Analyst Pay Rate :
$80,000+ per year (DOE) Reports to:IT Manager Position Summary :
The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for the management and maintenance of an organization's computer networks and support of IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, operating systems, hardware, and software. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure, efficient, and reliable network infrastructure that supports the organization's overall business objective.Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Tasks/ Responsibilities including but not limited to:- Design, implement, and maintain the organization's computer networks and infrastructure systems.
- Ensure network security by implementing and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to optimize efficiency.
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components, such as routers, switches, servers, and operating systems.
- Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations and equipment.
- Provide technical support to end-users for computer hardware, phone, network, internet access, printing, and operating system related issues.
- Identify and solve any problems that arise with computer hardware, networks, and infrastructure systems.
- Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard the organization's data and sensitive information to protect data and ensure compliance.
- Stay updated on the latest security threats and technologies to proactively address potential risks and deliver training to internal teams.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- Conduct regular tests of backup systems to verify their effectiveness.
- Manage and coordinate with third-party vendors to support network and infrastructure systems.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
- Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Azure AD.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and protocols.
Skills and Abilities:
- Fundamental knowledge of Cisco networking concepts and Microsoft domain administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 administration.
- Effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of computing infrastructures.
- Familiarity with client/server management and monitoring tools. Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network administration roles, with a strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Azure Active Directory.
- Previous experience with Cisco LAN network switches and WAN routers preferred.
- Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
