Job Description

Job Description:
IT Operational Analyst (Temp-to-Hire) About the Role Our client a fast-moving startup looking for an IT Operational Analyst who thrives in a dynamic environment and can hit the ground running. This role sits at the intersection of IT operations, systems integration, and business reporting by keeping data, dashboards, and platforms running reliably even when systems require "patchwork" connectivity and constant optimization. You'll be hands-on with HubSpot CRM, Power BI and Tableau dashboards, Azure, and Microsoft 365, while proactively monitoring integrations, running data validations, and quickly triaging bad data issues before they impact the business. This is a temp-to-hire position with an accelerated hiring timeline. The right person can start the assignment within 1-2 weeks with an opportunity to be hired on by the client based on proven results. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Systems & Connectivity / Integrations Maintain and improve connectivity between business systems (CRM, reporting tools, data sources, cloud services), especially where integrations require patchwork, workarounds, or custom workflows. Proactively identify integration gaps, data sync failures, or inconsistent field mappings and drive fixes end-to-end. Monitor data flows and system health; respond quickly to operational issues impacting teams. HubSpot CRM Operations Support HubSpot administration and operations, including pipeline hygiene, property management, automation support, user enablement, and troubleshooting. Partner with Sales/Marketing/Ops stakeholders to ensure CRM processes and reporting are accurate and scalable. Data Quality, Validation & Triage Run recurring and ad-hoc data validations (completeness, duplicates, outliers, referential integrity). Investigate data anomalies and quickly triage bad data to pinpoint source issues (system inputs, integrations, user behavior, upstream feeds). Document root causes, implement preventive controls, and improve monitoring. Analytics & Dashboards (Power BI + Tableau) Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and Tableau dashboards used by leadership and operational teams. Ensure dashboards align to trustworthy definitions/metrics and stay reliable as systems evolve. Troubleshoot report refreshes, data model issues, and performance bottlenecks. Azure & Cloud Support Support Azure-based components that impact data access, connectivity, and reporting (e.g., permissions, service health, storage/connectors, environment configuration). Collaborate with engineering/IT partners on secure access patterns and operational best practices. Project Management & Continuous Improvement Manage small-to-mid initiatives end-to-end: scoping, prioritization, timelines, stakeholder updates, documentation, and delivery. Bring structure to ambiguity and create lightweight processes that keep the business moving. Stay current on tools and practices; you're a continual learner who improves systems over time. AI Tooling (Claude) + Microsoft 365 Use Claude (and similar tools) responsibly to accelerate analysis, documentation, root-cause writeups, and workflow improvements. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, OneDrive) to support collaboration and operational execution. What We're Looking For (Required Qualifications) Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM (administration, troubleshooting, data hygiene, reporting, automation support). Strong dashboarding and analytics skills with Power BI and Tableau (build, maintain, troubleshoot). Practical experience supporting or working within Azure environments (enough to troubleshoot connectivity/access and collaborate with technical owners). Demonstrated ability to manage work using project management practices (prioritization, timelines, stakeholder communication, documentation). Strong understanding of systems connectivity/integrations (how data moves between platforms; common failure modes; how to diagnose). Proven ability to run data validations, identify anomalies, and triage bad data quickly with clear root-cause thinking.
Comfortable in a startup environment:
adaptable, proactive, and able to operate with limited process and evolving requirements. Available to start within 1-2 weeks (temp-to-hire). Ideal Fit You're experienced enough to work independently on day one, but still hands-on and excited to build. You enjoy solving messy problems, improving processes, and owning outcomes without needing a large team or perfect infrastructure.
Preferred / Nice
-to-Haves Experience with basic data modeling concepts (relationships, measures, calculated fields). Familiarity with common integration platforms or automation tools Experience in high-growth or startup environments where systems evolve quickly. Work Setup, Benefits & Hiring Notes Temp-to-hire with a fast assignment hiring process. Great company culture and great benefits upon conversion (and/or per company plan).
Startup pace:
expect variety, shifting priorities, and meaningful ownership.
Equal Opportunity Employer:
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
