The incumbent will participate in the development of processes and procedures for identity and access management systems and utilizes DevOps processes and operations. This position is classified as predominantly remote with occasional visits to campus as needed. Working hours will be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST). The full salary range for the IAM Engineer is $88,301.52 to $162,425.52 annually. However, the pay scale for this position is UP TO $118,503 annually. UCR bases salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. degree Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required experience Minimum of 4-7 years of related experience. Required Occasional travel for university related business meetings, conferences and/or professional development. required Required Familiarity with logical data design and data mapping or data conversion. Works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Ability to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of how system management actions affect other systems, system users and dependent/related functions. Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner. Familiarity with data quality and governance issues and requirements. Demonstrated knowledge supporting third party applications. Familiarity with directory services. Familiarity with Single Sign On technologies. Demonstrated ability to install software and troubleshoot and repair moderately complexproblems with computing devices, peripherals and software. Understanding of andexperience troubleshooting client, server and peripherals-related issues and actionsthat can be taken to improve or correct performance. Experience in incident responseand digital forensics, including data collection, examination and analysis. Broad knowledge of various areas of IT. Ability to write technical documentation in a clear and concise manner. Advanced skills associated with programming design, modification and implementation. Basic knowledge of secure software development. Demonstrated ability to create software specifications. Demonstrated experience with database administration. Working knowledge ofdatabase management systems and standards. Knowledge relating to database systemdesign. Advanced database querying and modeling skills working with moderatelycomplex databases.
