Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data. 2 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. Experience in SQL (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce).
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in a quantitative discipline. 2 year of experience with machine learning systems. 2 year of experience with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++. Experience leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate the detection and mitigation of platform abuse, including spam, phishing, or violative content. About the job Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what's right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. As an Engineering Analyst on the YouTube Trust and Safety team, you will be directly responsible for ensuring that we identify and remove disruptive content and users, in an environment where hundreds of hours of new content is uploaded every minute, globally. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities Develop and implement strategies and solutions to enforce YouTube policies at scale. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for effective abuse prevention and enforcement. Leverage Machine Learning, as appropriate. Collaborate closely with stakeholders and partners in engineering, product and policy to drive complex anti-abuse solutions involving and impacting various cross-functional areas. Provide incident response for abuse problems, operating independently. Analyze and draw conclusions on root-causes and define and implement mitigation steps. Learn complex and technical concepts and systems and deliver meaningful results using them. Communicate technical results and methods clearly. Design and refine prompts for LLMs to improve their accuracy in identifying and classifying abusive content and behavior. This may include prompt engineering, data labeling, and performance analysis.
