Serve as the primary contributor and may lead projects and teams and often represent the Section or Division on projects and task forces. Prepare and deliver communications including presentations and recommendations to others in the Section/Division and/or to external stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities Senior Information Technology Analysts perform the following responsibilities with regular guidance: Perform quantitative and/or qualitative analyses in support of FRB mission, Division goals, and Section objectives Prepare and deliver clear, accurate and concise communication orally and in writing Share information and make recommendations regarding projects and work for Section/Project Teams/Division or external stakeholders Serve as primary contributors and may lead projects or teams in the accomplishment of work Assist with project and program management in the Federal Reserve System and, on an as needed basis, for designated Financial Market Infrastructures under the Dodd-Frank Act, and in the Divisions/Sections areas of responsibility Conduct routine analyses, studies, and examinations of Reserve Bank, National IT, and Business line IT operations and plans Provide oversight to Reserve Banks for the management processes governing information systems planning and operations, cyber security and resiliency controls Communicates with business units in a consultative/collaborative role to ensure a positive business relationship Provide guidance to junior or new staff Represent the Section or Division on group projects or task forces Advise senior staff and managers Develop areas of domain expertise Senior Information Technology Analysts at the Federal Reserve Board may play many roles related to their jobs. They are responsible for a combination of the following roles: Data Analysis Produce charts, graphs, and other visuals to help analyze data Review information security data, to include cyber data pertaining to IT operations, identify relevant issues and trends, and draw conclusions in support of Division/ Section's area of responsibility Identify data that can be used to analyze policy Examination Participate in and/or lead examinations and reviews of Reserve Bank IT enterprise operations, and on an as needed basis, for designated Financial Market Infrastructures under the Dodd-Frank Act Support management processes to govern oversight policies and programs Policy Draft recommendations on the design/development of new Federal Reserve System IT/IS policy. Interpret and/or implement policy, regulation, and/or guidance Draft policy recommendations supported by logical reasoning and sound analysis Assist Project Leads and/or section/division on special studies/projects related to policy development Risk Management Identify and analyze emerging risks in the Federal Reserve System IT environment Apply appropriate risk management frameworks and policies to support oversight of Federal Reserve System and designated information technology infrastructures Assess the level of risk and recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures in designated situations Position Requirements A bachelor's degree in information technology (IT), computer science, auditing, business administration and FR-26: 5 years related experience or a master's degree in a related field and 3 years of related experience

Knowledge of IT principles, methods, and best practices to plan, implement, and coordinate services to diagnose and resolve problems, and ensure continuous service;

System Thinking:

Skilled at gathering system and process requirements by connecting with and understanding customers and their needs;

Project Coordination:

Able to plan and organize activities (e.g., projects, events, meetings, requests) including preparing and coordinating materials and logistics, and assigning and coordinating tasks among multiple parties;

Knowledge of Relevant Policy:

The ability to interpret, apply and recommend changes as needed to policies specific to areas of responsibility;

Knowledge of Relevant Law and Regulation:

The ability to interpret and apply law and regulations related to areas of responsibility; evaluates the impact of changes in law and/or regulations Remarks The Intelligence Coordination Section is a newly established function within RBOPS dedicated to protecting the nation's payment systems and financial infrastructure from emerging threats. Working at the intersection of technology, intelligence, and risk management, you'll conduct analyses that directly inform Board leadership on critical national security risks—including cybersecurity, insider threats, and payment system vulnerabilities—while establishing foundational analytical processes and key relationships across the Federal Reserve System. This position involves working in a new section that is still defining its processes and objectives, requiring comfort with ambiguity and the ability to balance technical analysis with intelligence coordination. Short-term responsibilities include establishing threat assessment processes, building Federal Reserve Bank partnerships, and contributing to intelligence coordination initiatives; long-term opportunities include developing subject matter expertise in cyber threats to payment systems, leading cross-divisional projects, and serving as a trusted advisor to leadership. The role suits professionals who work effectively when building new processes and capabilities and who seek to contribute to how the Federal Reserve approaches threat intelligence within a collaborative, mission-focused environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in intelligence analysis OR experience as a consumer of classified national security information Oversight experience in cybersecurity, risk management, IT operations, financial services, or government Deep subject matter expertise in cyber threats to payment systems or financial infrastructure Experience working in startup, new program, or organizational development environments Knowledge of Federal Reserve System operations and oversight functions Experience leading cross-functional projects or teams Experience serving as Board liaison or representative with external agencies or international organizations U.S. citizenship required. Position is located in Washington DC, and on-site presence required. Some travel is required for this position. A writing sample/exercise may be requested.
