  • Your role and responsibilities
  • As an AO GTM Technical Pre-Sales Engineer you will be partnering with internal market/client leaders and external clients to define and execute modernization agendas for mission‑critical environments.
You will work directly with senior leaders to identify where AI, automation, and advanced observability can deliver the greatest operational impact—improving service reliability and resilience, optimizing cost structures, and enabling IT Operations to confidently support business continuity and digital growth across the full technology stack.

With this role you will be engaged in IBM's large and complex client opportunities, advising executives on the operating model changes required to scale AI in IT Operations, including organizational design, governance, and service management transformation. You will need to help educate and guide clients on the path to transition from incident‑driven support to predictive, proactive, and increasingly autonomous operations that deliver measurable business outcomesYour primary responsibilities will include:
    Establish Strong Client Relationships:
    Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to identify new business opportunities and contribute to the development and sales of solutions. This involves articulating solutions effectively and understanding client needs to deliver world-class services.
      Support/Develop Billable Client Activities:
      Develop & support billable client activities, ensuring successful delivery of services and achieving financial success in engagements directly managed.
      • Participate in
      Sector Events:
      Engage in sector, solution, or community events to stay updated on industry trends and network with potential clients and partners.
        Drive Solution Design and Development:
        Draw upon expertise in one or more Practices within the Application Operations Service Line to design, develop, and integrate services, accelerators, and outcomes that help clients grow, innovate, differentiate, and transform their businesses.
          Generate Services Revenue:
          Focus on delivering financial success in engagements directly managed and generating services revenue through effective solution sales and delivery.

          This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.
          • Required technical and professional expertise
          • Deep Expertise in Application Operations, specifically end to end management of IT Operations built around
          Automation and AI:
          Understanding of large, complex services engagements in the IT Operations domain, with the ability to articulate solutions effectively and drive world-class service delivery.
          • Proven Experience in
          Solution Design:
          Have experience designing, developing, and integrating services, accelerators, and outcomes that help clients grow, innovate, differentiate, and transform their businesses leveraging and AI First/Automation approach, and drawing upon expertise in one or more Practices within the Application Operations Service Line (SAP, Oracle, Quality Engineering, Custom AMS, Hybrid Cloud Manage, AIOps).
            Strategic Sales and Delivery Leadership:
            Establishing strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and contributing to the development and sales of solutions, with a focus on delivering financial success in engagements directly managed.
              Industry Event Participation:
              Have experience participating in sector, solution, or community events to stay updated on industry trends and network with potential clients and partners.
                Services Revenue Generation:
                Possess expertise in generating services revenue through effective solution sales and delivery, with a focus on achieving financial success in engagements directly managed.
                • Strong background in Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineering, with background of responsible for driving revenue growth, shaping complex deals, and fostering strategic client relationships centered on modernizing IT Operations through AI, automation, and DevOps, often within hybrid cloud environments. Acts as a strategic partner to clients, advising on AI, Automation and optimization strategies.
                • Preferred technical and professional experience
                • Deep Understanding of Multiple Practices:
                  Experience with key services within the Application Operations Service Line (SAP, Oracle, Quality Engineering, Custom AMS, Hybrid Cloud Manage, AIOps), enabling design, development, and integration of comprehensive services, accelerators, and outcomes for clients.
                • Expertise in
                Complex Services Engagements:
                Managing large, complex services engagements, with the ability to articulate solutions effectively and drive world-class service delivery in the Application Operations domain.
                • Strategic Mindset in
                Solution Sales:
                Experience in developing and executing strategic plans to drive solution sales and delivery, with a focus on delivering financial success in engagements directly managed and generating services revenue.
                • Candide must have over a decade in IT consulting, with significant experience in a leadership capacity within domains such as Hybrid Cloud Management, AI-driven automation, and DevOps practices.
