DRPM SUBS
unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supportingDRPM SUBS
will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. ASIG has an immediate need for a Technical Program Analyst supporting Ship Alterations (SHIPALTs) and associated modernization efforts for the COLUMBIA-Class SSBN Program Office (PMS397). This role is located in the Washingthon, DC Navy Yard (potential for light telework). Responsibilities You will provide technical and programmatic analysis support to the PMS397 Sustainment Branch, focusing on development and execution of SHIPALTs and associated modernization efforts for the Columbia class SSBN, the newest class of Navy Strategic Submarines.Basic responsibilities would include:
Support planning and coordination of submarine modernization availabilities and SHIPALT implementation Track technical requirements, risks, and configuration changes across combat systems, HM&E, and C5I upgrades Perform configuration management: maintain accurate baselines, track SHIPALTs/Engineering Changes, and ensure proper documentation and approvals for all configuration changes Analyze cost, schedule, and performance data for modernization efforts and prepare status reports/briefs for senior leadership Maintain documentation (technical baselines, test plans, certifications) and ensure compliance with Navy standards Coordinate with shipyards, warfare centers, vendors, and fleet stakeholders to resolve issues and integrate upgrades At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent. $110-$135k.Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical field 3-5+ years of technical program analysis experience, preferably on DoW acquisition programs Proficient in using Microsoft Excel to analyze and represent data for engineering or project management efforts, and also proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, to communicate to decision makers Current DoW security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employmentDesired Qualifications:
Experience working on submarine or undersea related programs Previous experience supporting SHIPALT and associated modernization efforts on submarines and/or other Navy platforms Experience with configuration management processesSimilar remote jobs
