The Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a wide range of national security clients, including U.S. Navy, Army, DoD agencies, DARPA, OSD, and international allies such as the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force. The SLA Division provides data-driven insights, systems engineering, and strategic solutions to address complex national security challenges. The Undersea Platform Analysis Group (UPAG) within SLA offers technical, operational, and business analysis to support submarine platform construction for programs like the Columbia-class SSBN, Virginia-class SSN, and the next-generation SSN-X. Analysts work closely with NAVSEA Team Submarine to enhance undersea capabilities, oversee construction, and develop future submarine requirements, playing a critical role in strengthening the U.S. Navy's strategic posture in an era of renewed competition.
Required:
High School Diploma (or GED) AND (a) a graduate of a military training program that provided an in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation, or (b) a graduate of a technical school in an engineering field. Twelve (12) years of collective experience in the operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems installed on U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warships and experience providing Quality Assurance (QA) support for U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warship equipment maintenance and repairs at a public or private shipyard. DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment.
Desired Qualifications:
Three (3) years of experience working as a Level II supervisor or higher in a nuclear-capable shipyard or serving aboard U.S. Navy nuclear-powered warships as a Nuclear-trained Division Officer, LCPO (E6) or higher. Two (2) years of experience with the Navy Deep Submergence Systems Scope of Certification (DSS-SOC) program.
