Shopfloor Software Specialist IV Location

YOUR TASKS
Develop, implement, and maintain Shopfloor Control software system throughout the organization. Provide technical support and assistance to staff across departments using the Shopfloor Control system. Work in partnership with the production and IT teams to identify system requirements and improvements. Implement software upgrades and patches as necessary to maintain system operationality and security. Design and develop data collection interfaces and tools to integrate with Shopfloor Control software systems. Conduct regular system health checks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data. Coordinate and conduct user trainings, providing detailed instructions and support materials to maximize technical understanding and user adoption. Investigate and address system errors or glitches, applying a structured methodology to problem-solving. Gather user feedback to understand needs and challenges, using this information to suggest software enhancements or improvements. Ensure adherence to data management and documentation practices, complying with all relevant regulations and legislation. Maintain records of software implementation processes, failures, changes, and user feedback. Assess third-party tools and solutions for compatibility and integration possibilities. Keep abreast of latest shopfloor software and technologies, best practices, and next-generation concepts.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Salary Range:
$67,000-$77,000 Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in shopfloor control systems software development and implementation. Proficient in common programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, C++ or similar. Experience with data acquisition and control systems used in industrial environments. Strong ability to diagnose and solve complex technical issues. Excellent communication skills to provide technical support and conduct end-user trainings. Knowledge of data management practices and data governance principles. Experience with software project management, including Agile and Scrum methodologies. Awareness of industrial operations and processes, and how these rely on shopfloor software applications. Familiar with standard industry regulations and legislation related to data and security. Track record of managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently, meeting tight deadlines. Ability to work both independently and in a team, with a keen eye for detail. Experience with third-party system integration is advantageous.
