Job Description

Overview We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Odoo Administrator to lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of our Odoo ERP environment. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business operations and technology—translating our workflows into robust Odoo modules, managing system configurations, ensuring data integrity, and training our team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in Odoo (Python/PostgreSQL) combined with a deep functional understanding of core business processes (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, etc.) and a proven track record of successful ERP implementations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Implementation & Deployment:
Lead end-to-end Odoo implementation projects, including requirements gathering, business process mapping, system configuration, testing, and go-live support.
      System Customization & Maintenance:
Configure standard Odoo modules and oversee minor customizations (using Odoo Studio or working with developers) to align the platform with business needs while minimizing technical debt.
        Data Management & Migration:
Plan and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems, ensuring data accuracy, validation, and clean-up across databases.
          Administration & Performance:
Monitor system health, manage user access permissions, handle database backups, and troubleshoot performance or workflow bottlenecks.
            Integration:
Oversee integrations between Odoo and third-party applications (e.g., e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, shipping APIs) via webhooks and APIs.
              User Training & Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day Odoo support. Create documentation, SOPs, and conduct training sessions for end-users to drive high adoption rates.
                Upgrade Management:
Coordinate and test system updates and version upgrades with minimal disruption to business operations.
                QUALIFICATIONS
                  Experience:
[e.g., 2+ years] of hands-on experience administering and implementing Odoo (Odoo Community or Enterprise, versions 15/16/17/18 preferred).
                    Functional Expertise:
Deep working knowledge of core Odoo apps, such as Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (MRP), and Accounting.
                      Technical Proficiency:
o Strong familiarity with PostgreSQL database management and querying. o Working knowledge of Python, XML/QWeb, and Linux server environments (Docker, AWS, or Odoo.sh). o Experience with Odoo Studio and configuring automated actions/server actions.
                        Project Management Skills:
Proven ability to manage timelines, coordinate across departments, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
                          Problem-Solving Mindset:
Strong analytical skills with a preference for leveraging out-of-the-box standard features before resorting to custom code.
                            Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
                            Required Skills/Experience:
                            • Official Odoo Functional or Technical Certification.
                            • Experience in manufacturing and e-commerce.
                            • Familiarity with Git workflows and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) for Odoo modules.
                            Desired Skills/Experience:
                              Functional Expertise:

Proficiency with both Odoo Community and Enterprise editions , including hands-on experience using Odoo Studio for structural updates.
                                  Technical Acumen:
Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL), data analysis tools (Excel), and fundamental ERP architecture.
                                    Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical processes into simple language for non-technical users.
