Job Description

Information Technology Senior Consultant (Level 5) NineFX is seeking a highly specialized IT Senior Consultant (Level 5) to lead complex, mission-critical technology initiatives supporting government-directed programs. This senior role provides advanced technical guidance, manages highly specialized projects, and ensures secure, efficient, and reliable enterprise systems across virtualized, automated, and large-scale environments. Candidates must demonstrate deep technical expertise, strategic problem solving skills, and the ability to deliver solutions in fast-paced, high security operational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize Active Directory synchronization and authorization processes using Casport (Python).
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot automated tasks and operational scripts stored in Git repositories.
  • Oversee software compilation workflows, diagnose build issues, and manage package dependencies in version controlled environments.
  • Provide expert guidance for enterprise storage technologies including NFS, CIFS, SMB, and iSCSI.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machine environments using Puppet, Ansible, and related orchestration tools.
  • Design, deploy, and administer VMware based virtualized platforms.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor automated tasks using Python and PowerShell.
  • Support security compliance efforts, working with security teams to maintain certification and accreditation standards.
  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, including software installation, network configuration, system integrity, and performance improvements.
  • Provide day to day operational support across client, server, storage, and network devices, including helpdesk functions and problem resolution.
  • Lead medium to large complex IT projects and major phases of very large projects.
  • Conduct advanced analyses, technical studies, and solution designs for complex information processing requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Provide specialized consulting services, strategic technology recommendations, and expert-level problem solving as defined by government leadership.
Required Qualifications:
(Must meet all stated requirements to be considered)
  • Active TS/SCI with FS Poly. Mandatory. No exceptions or sponsorship.
  • Minimum education and experience (one of the following):
  • High School Diploma/GED with 20 years of relevant experience
  • Associate's degree with 15 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency with Python-based automation and operational scripting.
  • Expert-level experience with Git repositories, software compilation, troubleshooting build errors, and dependency management.
  • Advanced understanding of enterprise storage protocols: NFS, CIFS, SMB, iSCSI.
  • Proven experience deploying and managing VMs using Puppet, Ansible, and related automation/orchestration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale or mission-critical projects.
  • Extensive experience providing specialized technical guidance in complex IT environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting government, DoD, or IC environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership.
