Job Description

The Technical Consultant III leverages a deep technical expertise to provide strategic advice and practical solutions to clients, helping to optimize technology infrastructure and achieve business objectives. Technical Consultant analyzes client needs, recommend appropriate technologies and methodologies, and often assist in the implementation and integration of these solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to translate complex technical concepts into understandable business terms. This position recommends specific solutions based on specialized capabilities to perform and integrate complex professional services in several operational, functional, or organizational areas. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
CompTIA Network+ Preferred Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property. Administration of Windows 2000 Server or newer is required Knowledge of Disaster recovery approaches, replication (geographic redundancy a plus) Ability to analyze and troubleshooting services for complex problems, recommending improvements, staying up-to-date on security vulnerabilities, new features, hardware, software and feasibility determination Knowledge of how to prioritize workflow required Ability to handle stressful and demanding situations without disruption of efficiency or professional demeanor required Ability to work flexible hours according to business demands, sometimes on short notice required Conducts research using the Internet and familiar with Social Networking Problem solving focused on innovation and creativity Provides support with tasks including, but not limited to, committee meeting agenda preparation and distribution Demonstrates exceptional customer interface skills to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Possesses a high level of technical competence in order to resolve customer's problems as efficiently and quickly as possible. Possesses advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills. Possesses a familiarity with VistA Imaging. Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and 3rd party hardware infrastructure. Participates in 24x7 help desk coverage. Provides management for the IHS VistA Imaging Call Center.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides high-level expert, professional and consulting services. Evaluates, designs and implements organizational strategies to maximize the potential for meeting the vision, mission and goals. Designs and conducts studies at an escalated level, analyses, and research. Prepares presentations and recommendations. Develops draft inputs to program / organizational documentation as it relates to any of the operational support functions.
Applicable Operational Areas include:
acquisition management, business process reengineering, specialty engineering (e.g., communications, systems safety, quality assurance, test and evaluation, human factors, reliability and maintainability, systems security etc.), organizational planning, acquisition logistics, and configuration support and/or program management.

systems engineering, acquisition management, business process, quality assurance, organizational planning, financial management, acquisition logistics, configuration and data information systems, major enterprise-wide technology deployments, or strategic enterprise infrastructure redesign.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
