Job Description
Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst - IT Operations We are seeking a hands-on SOC Analyst to join a fast-paced operations team responsible for monitoring and supporting critical systems and services. This position is ideal for someone with an IT operations, systems support, or data center background who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, monitoring production environments, and working collaboratively to maintain system availability and performance. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively during high-pressure situations. What You'll Do Monitor production systems, applications, and services to ensure availability and performance Configure and monitor software and operational tools Identify, troubleshoot, document, and escalate system and application issues Respond to alerts and operational incidents while following established procedures Collaborate with technical teams to resolve incidents and maintain service availability Support distributed systems operating within large-scale and data center environments Utilize scripting and automation to improve operational processes Work with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and backup technologies Support and monitor Linux-based environments Utilize scheduling/build tools such as Control-M and QuickBuild Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and operational procedures Communicate system issues and status updates clearly to internal teams and external customers Continuously learn new technologies as platforms, products, and customer requirements evolve What We're Looking For 1-2+ years of IT Operations, Systems Support, NOC/SOC, or similar technical experience Experience supporting distributed systems, preferably within a data center or large-scale production environment Experience configuring and monitoring software and systems Knowledge of Linux, web services, telecommunications, and/or databases Experience with scripting and automation Familiarity with APM and backup software Experience with Control-M or QuickBuild is highly preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Excellent attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customers, including during high-pressure incidents Education & Certifications High School Diploma required with relevant IT experience Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is a plus Relevant certifications in Linux, web services, telecommunications, databases, or related technologies are beneficial Additional hands-on IT Operations experience may be considered in place of formal education or certifications Ideal Background The ideal candidate has worked in a
