Job Description

Summary The Actuarial Technical Analyst II plays a key role in developing, validating, and maintaining data that directly contributes to the performance and success of the technical and finance functions. This role has the potential to influence outcomes across multiple departments and drive broader organizational impact. This position leverages intermediate to advanced analytical processes that evolve alongside business needs. The Actuarial Technical Analyst II is responsible for ensuring data integrity by proactively maintaining accurate, up-to-date datasets and demonstrating a deep understanding of underlying data structures and business applications. Responsibilities Build and maintain countrywide datasets across all lines of business and systems Develop, validate, and ensure the integrity of data used for business decision-making Optimize processes and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness Apply insurance domain knowledge to build datasets supporting Market Pricing analytical needs Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Advanced Analytics, IT, and business stakeholders Partner with senior management to ensure analysis is clearly interpreted and drives appropriate action Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency Make decisions across a wide variety of scenarios by interpreting guidelines and applying sound judgment and discretion Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to less experienced team members Communicate effectively with business partners and senior leadership Efficiently retrieve, manipulate, and analyze large datasets Qualifications Bachelor's Degree, professional-level knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience 3+ years of experience or equivalent related knowledge Experience performing intermediate quantitative analyses Strong analytical and coding expertise Experience implementing methodologies or process improvements Ability to independently complete intermediate analyses and contribute to complex projects under managerial guidance Demonstrated success managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively 2-3 years of experience supporting at least one of the following business areas: Market Pricing Personal Lines (PL) / Commercial Lines (CL) Product or Underwriting Reserving Claims Why Mapfre? Pay Transparency:
 The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. Some roles at Mapfre are eligible for commission and/or bonus earnings, in addition to salary, calculated based upon factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Salary Range:
$121,000- $182,000
