Analyst Job Description Job Title:
Information Technology (IT) Analyst Job Summary The IT Analyst is responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements, supporting information systems, troubleshooting technology issues, and recommending technology solutions that improve business operations. The role serves as a liaison between business users to ensure systems meet organizational needs. Primary Responsibilities Build and maintain Excel and Power BI reports and dashboards Use Power Query and related tools to clean, combine, and organize data Work with departments to define reporting needs and improve business processes Reduce manual data entry and repetitive spreadsheet work Support business applications such as Viewpoint Spectrum, Traqspera, Spreadsheet Server, Fleetio, Motive, and Microsoft 365 Create procedures, user guides, and system documentation Assist with implementation of approved IT policies and standards Prepare and deploy laptops, phones, and other devices Troubleshoot common Windows, Microsoft 365, account, application, and peripheral issues Provide backup coverage for employee onboarding, offboarding, and general IT support Required Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in IT support, systems analysis, or business analysis Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, databases, networking, and enterprise applications Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and testing Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Power Automate SharePoint Lists and workflows SQL PowerShell, Python, Office Scripts, or similar automation tools ERP, accounting, fleet, construction, or field-service systems Experience supporting mobile devices and business applications Technical Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel Power BI and Power Query Basic data modeling and SQL concepts Business requirements gathering Process documentation and improvement Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive Windows device setup and troubleshooting Clear written and verbal communication Ability to work with technical and nontechnical employees Soft Skills Critical thinking Problem-solving Customer service Time management Communication and presentation Team collaboration Attention to detail Working Conditions Office and remote (hybrid) work environment May require occasional after-hours or weekend support during system upgrades or outages Ability to travel occasionally to support field locations
