About the Role Modern Medical Solutions, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level IT Technician to support our growing healthcare consulting practice. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining technology infrastructure, providing technical support to internal staff and clients, and ensuring the reliability of systems critical to delivering high-quality consulting services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their IT career who wants hands-on experience in a professional services environment with exposure to healthcare technology and operations. Key Responsibilities Technical Support Provide first-line helpdesk support for internal staff across hardware, software, and connectivity issues Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices Set up, configure, and maintain workstations and mobile devices for new and existing employees Document support tickets and resolutions in the company's IT tracking system Network & Infrastructure Assist with monitoring and maintaining local and remote network environments including routers, switches, and VPN configurations Support VPN setup and troubleshooting for remote staff operating across multiple locations Coordinate with internet service providers and third-party vendors to resolve connectivity issues Security & Compliance Assist in maintaining cybersecurity best practices including software updates, antivirus management, and access control Support compliance with HIPAA technical safeguard requirements as they relate to client data access and internal systems Help enforce company IT policies around data handling, device management, and acceptable use Systems & Software Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of business software including Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, and project management tools Assist with data backup procedures and verify integrity of backup systems Provide basic training and guidance to non-technical staff on software use and IT best practices Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred Basic understanding of Windows and/or macOS operating systems Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Professional communication skills — written and verbal Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Preferred CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certification (or active pursuit) Experience with Microsoft 365 administration Exposure to HIPAA compliance or healthcare IT environments Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or similar) Experience with VPN configuration and management
Pay:
$14.00 - $22.00 per hour
