Job Purpose The main responsibility of the IT Infrastructure and Operations Analyst is to assist in the installation, configuration, maintenance and monitoring server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security and availability, as well as providing basic network support, and serving as backup helpdesk coverage when the primary helpdesk technician is unavailable. This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL. Key Accountabilities Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers. Perform routine system updates, patches, and security maintenance, while following change management procedures. Assist in troubleshooting server, storage, and network issues. Monitor backup processes, perform restore tests, and remediate backup issues. Provide support for AWS S3 buckets for backup system. Maintain server documentation such as deployment and decommissioning checklists. Support virtualization platforms and perform periodic maintenance on them. Participate in disaster recovery testing and recovery. Provide first-level support network connectivity issues. Assist with server and network installations, upgrades and documentation. Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects on time and within budget. Support other systems such as network, telephony, and video conference as needed. Ensure that ISO KPIs are calculated and reported (e.g. backup success ratio, etc.). Perform assigned activities on the recovery test calendar in a timely fashion. Serve as backup helpdesk support when the primary helpdesk technician is unavailable. Some helpdesk support may be for remote sites. Image and deploy PCs to end users. Support user account management, permissions and access control, including set up of Azure MFA. Assist senior staff with security remediations identified by security team. Update and maintain inventories of PCs, mobile devices, network gear and servers per
