Chattanooga, TN (REMOTE) Summary :
The Portfolio Analyst will work on IT projects, including digital asset recovery, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and/or application upgrades/deployment The Portfolio Analyst will assist with performing analysis to support the identification and prioritization of IT projects that support corporate business strategy The Portfolio Analyst will participate in analysis of the impact to the existing portfolio when new projects surface and work with senior portfolio analysts, functional and project managers to identify alternative strategies (resources, project sequencing, etc.) The Portfolio Analyst will support analysis and reporting on trends that could have a potential negative impact to other projects, functionally or financially With Senior Portfolio Analysts, the Portfolio Analyst will perform project cost estimating, scheduling, milestone tracking, and reporting The Portfolio Analyst will follow standard methods for project performance monitoring, reporting, analysis, trend assessment, scheduling, and estimating The Portfolio Analyst will provide support to Project Advisory and/or Project Justification committees by identifying items and/or trends that could affect projects or in response to follow-up items from committee meetings This position is Remote with occasional travel to Chattanooga, TN Local Candidates who can possibly work 2-3 Days Onsite in Chattanooga, TN are preferred Responsibilities :
Supports use of best practices, techniques and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics Assists Senior Portfolio Analysts along with the financial organization to quantify project benefits in a way that will enable objective evaluation of projects against company objectives and aid project approval decision-making Assists in ensuring all required data for making decisions is complete and available Supports efforts to monitor and report status on milestone schedule commitments, resource commitments, and constraints Assists with performing IT project portfolio analysis for the benefit of other TVA organizations; this includes the development of applicable financial and field evaluations as well as the final recommendations to the manager of the applicable organization Assists Senior Portfolio Analysts in representing ADMIN, Information Services, on agency-wide projects and/or providing support to various committees (which often include several officers of the corporation) that have been established to resolve key business issues Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in the field of project management, engineering, accounting, economics, mathematics, or business administration Demonstrated knowledge in project management, accounting, financial analysis or risk analysis; a working knowledge of the principles of business administration, economics, mathematics, and the utility industry concepts Must possess the necessary interpersonal skills and communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of Company management, vendors, and other senior-level professionals Must be self-motivated and capable of performing most assignments with limited supervision Experience with IT projects, including digital asset recovery, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and/or application upgrades/deployment, is preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) Certifications are preferred Experience with Primavera P6 is preferred Why Join Paradigm At Paradigm, integrity drives innovation.
