DOE Job Summary:
Utilizing significant technical experience and expertise, the Technical Lead supports an application or infrastructure team with planning, system analysis, design, application build, testing, maintenance, support, and the completion of assigned project work. This role is critical to solution development and technical strategy design with a focus on necessary product evolution. Applying knowledge of healthcare workflows and understanding of the needs of customers within their domain and incorporating this to inform recommendations for solutions and service implementation.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides architectural expertise, direction, and industry knowledge to support the development of optimally functioning teams and tools that contribute to organizational goals In collaboration with Leadership, leads the proactive management of and recommendations for optimization and process improvement opportunities Leads integrated discussions that focus on problem identification, options for resolution and cross-team collaboration Collaborates with stakeholders on complex workflows, upgrades, system changes or enhancements with a goal to outline capabilities and necessary decisions Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to reach consensus when appropriate In collaboration with Leadership, develops and monitors appropriate team goals and objectives, including delegating tasks as needed This includes but is not limited to long-term technical roadmaps and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining IT tools and applications In collaboration with Leadership, evaluates, documents and presents solution requirements, estimated durations, and risks from design choices Development and delivery of ongoing education to build and enhance the knowledge of team members as subject matter experts Provide input to Management for hiring decisions and performance coaching Leads projects or cross sections of projects, as assigned Create and deliver presentations to leaders about relevant work distilling high-level details, complex technical designs, risks, and actions May perform the duties and functions of the assigned team technicians, as assigned
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Two (2) or more EPIC Certifications are required as approved by department leadership 8 or more years of experience in IT (
Function Specific:
Clinical, Cybersecurity, Network, etc.) Expert knowledge of technology specific to their position as well as industry standards and trends Flexible leadership style with the ability to respond to the changing and varied needs of customers Ability to establish positive relationships with teams, peers, and customers Ability to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, effectively negotiate and manage competing priorities, communicate effectively with all organizational levels Strategy, Process Improvement, Application Design, Project Mgmt.,
Solution Design and Technical Domain Expertise Preferred Job Qualifications:
Master's degree
