Our products range from Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems to Quality Monitoring products, and include vibration monitoring and predictive maintenance solutions. We are looking for a Vibration Analyst and Field Service Technician with practical machinery experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. This position combines assessing vibration data, preparing actionable maintenance recommendations, and installing and commissioning wireless monitoring systems at customer plants. You will work with our customer success and technical teams to help customers obtain reliable data and use it effectively. The position includes regular on-site installation and customer training. Typical travel requirements are approximately one week per month. Responsibilities Review vibration trends, FFT spectra, time waveforms, and temperature data to assess machine condition and investigate abnormal readings. Identify likely causes such as unbalance, misalignment, looseness, resonance, and bearing or gear defects; assess urgency and recommend follow-up checks. Validate data quality, obtain operating information such as speed and load, and escalate complex or uncertain findings to the appropriate technical resource. Survey motors, pumps, fans, blowers, gearboxes, and other machinery to select suitable sensor locations, measurement directions, and mounting methods. Install sensors using drilled-and-tapped mounts or approved epoxy mounting methods, with proper surface preparation and compliance with customer site safety and lockout/tagout procedures. Configure sensors and gateways, verify communication and initial readings, and troubleshoot installation or connectivity issues. Record sensor IDs, machine details, mounting locations, axis orientation, and installation photographs; maintain accurate configuration and service records. Prepare clear assessment reports and explain findings, limitations, and recommended actions to customer maintenance teams. Provide on-site or remote customer training on the monitoring platform, interpreting alerts, and routine sensor and gateway troubleshooting. Coordinate site visits and follow-up actions, communicate progress and technical risks, and assist with customer demonstrations and internal technical support as needed. Primary Qualifications Practical experience in industrial vibration analysis, condition monitoring, or predictive maintenance, including interpretation of vibration spectra and trends. Working knowledge of rotating machinery, bearing arrangements, direct and belt drives, gearboxes, and common mechanical fault mechanisms. Ability to select effective sensor locations and recognize how mounting quality and measurement direction affect the usefulness of collected data. Competence using drills, taps, hand tools, and adhesives for routine installations; ability to follow equipment guidance and plant safety procedures. Confidence using Windows, spreadsheets, and technical software; ability to learn and troubleshoot our monitoring platform. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly and manage multiple customer priorities. Ability to work independently, maintain accurate documentation, and coordinate installation work with customer maintenance personnel. Willingness to travel approximately one week per month and work in manufacturing environments. Willingness to work extra hours as required by workload and deadlines, including some off-shift training as necessary. Additional Considerations Experience installing or commissioning wireless vibration sensors, gateways, or other industrial monitoring systems. Experience with handheld vibration analyzers and methods for validating or supplementing online monitoring data. Background in industrial maintenance, reliability, field service, or customer technical training. Experience with SaaS applications, IoT systems, and basic network or gateway connectivity troubleshooting. Education and Certification Requirements A degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience. Relevant technical training and apprenticeships will also be considered. Vibration Analyst Category II certification aligned with
