IT Application Analyst III City of Corpus Christi - 3.5 Corpus Christi, TX Job Details Full-time $77,475.43 a year 5 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Overview Develops and deploys integrated solutions to modernize, consolidate, and coordinate the department and enterprise applications, systems, and platforms. Determines how existing applications, legacy systems, databases, Web interfaces / hardware logic, which may be operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet new and emerging enterprise requirements. Gathers business requirements, performs analysis, codes and tests to ensure seamless communication among systems and applications. Participates in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations. Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the organization and manages changes to such specifications. Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation. Responsibilities Performs advanced application management Stays current on emerging application software technologies, as appropriate for the application(s) supported Participates in application evaluation, development, design, installation, configuration, upgrades, testing, and maintenance Manages development of applications and information systems Monitors application for compliance to IT standards and policies Reviews and assists team in providing reports for customers and staff using enterprise reporting tools Advance knowledge of methods and techniques for evaluation software application requirements Participates with other IT Team Members in requirements definitions, identifying end-user operational and customer service delivery needs Assists in developing functional specifications used to procure and deploy specialized applications Provides technical expertise and assistance in designing and developing application Supports complex project management activities, leads meetings and interacts with business process owners to advocate solutions for business problems where appropriate, and to communicate how IT systems can meet business needs Facilitates discussions between department representatives to reach best practice and cost-effective solutions Leads team in providing support for application development and implementation for low to high complexity Works closely with customers and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Align solutions with business and IT strategies that comply with the organization's architectural standards Analyzes system capacity and modifies procedures to solve interface problems.
