About the
Role:
The Resident Engineer - Telecom will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation and maintenance of telecommunications systems within our projects. This position requires a deep understanding of telecom infrastructure, ensuring that all installations meet industry standards and client specifications. The Resident Engineer will act as the primary point of contact between the project team and clients, facilitating effective communication and addressing any technical issues that arise. By providing expert guidance and support, the Resident Engineer will help to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Ultimately, this role is vital for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of our telecommunications services, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in telecom engineering or a similar role. Strong knowledge of telecom systems, including fiber optics, wireless, and satellite communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Experience with project management methodologies and tools. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to telecommunications.
Orange Card Responsibilities:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of telecom systems and equipment on-site. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and provide solutions. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of project progress, including reports on system performance and any challenges encountered. Provide training and support to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include a strong technical background in telecommunications, which will be utilized daily to troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site. Effective communication skills are essential for liaising with clients and team members, ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals.
