Job Description
Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Trader Voice & Recording Engineering Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Trader Voice & Recording Engineering to provide senior-level engineering expertise and operational support across critical Trader Voice Services, regulatory call recording, and voice capture infrastructure . This role combines hands-on infrastructure engineering, platform ownership, lifecycle management, operational support, and modernization. The engineer will support highly regulated voice environments while contributing to major initiatives involving recording platform migrations, data center closures, platform consolidation, cloud migration, transcription modernization, and legacy technology replacement . The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Trader Voice infrastructure, regulatory recording technologies, or enterprise voice engineering within financial services or another highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Engineer, maintain, and support enterprise Trader Voice and regulatory recording infrastructure . Perform platform maintenance, lifecycle management, system health checks, patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation. Design and implement infrastructure improvements across voice recording and communication platforms. Support migration and consolidation of legacy recording technologies onto strategic platforms. Participate in data center migration and closure initiatives , including infrastructure planning, migration execution, validation, and decommissioning. Support migration of on-premises infrastructure and application workloads into private/internal cloud and virtualized environments . Engineer and support integrations across Trader Voice, IP Telephony, Unified Communications, Microsoft Teams, voice capture, and recording technologies. Support regulatory recording, archiving, transcription, and voice analytics capabilities. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and voice platforms. Perform platform upgrades and modernization activities while minimizing impact to business-critical trading environments. Support business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities for critical voice and recording platforms. Partner with infrastructure, network, security, application, and voice engineering teams on complex technical initiatives. Provide technical guidance and escalation support to L1/L2 operational teams. Manage engineering activities, defects, upgrades, and project deliverables through structured Jira workflows. Maintain appropriate technical documentation, implementation procedures, configuration standards, and operational support documentation. Current Strategic Initiatives The engineering team is actively supporting several major modernization efforts, including: Modernization of the Trader Voice recording environment. Migration of infrastructure associated with data center closures. Consolidation and retirement of legacy recording platforms and vendors. Transition toward a dual-vendor Trader Voice strategy utilizing Cloud9 and IPC technologies . Upgrades to modern transcription and voice analytics capabilities. Migration of infrastructure and application components into cloud-based and OpenShift environments . Modernization of Microsoft Teams compliance capture and recording capabilities. Continued improvement of voice archiving, regulatory recording, and compliance infrastructure. Technical Environment The environment includes technologies and platforms supporting: Trader Voice infrastructure Regulatory voice and call recording Verba Financial Compliance (VFC) NICE Trader Recording (NTR) IPC Trader Voice and communication technologies Cloud9 / Symphony environments Proteus Continuity Replay Vodafone recording integrations Microsoft Teams compliance capture and recording IP Telephony Unified Communications Voice as a Service platforms Voice archiving and transcription Voice analytics VMware / Hyper-V virtualization OpenShift Enterprise networking, compute, storage, and data center infrastructure Required Qualifications 5+ years of infrastructure, voice, recording, or related engineering experience , with significant exposure to Trader Voice or regulatory recording environments. Hands-on experience with NICE Trader Recording (NTR), Verba Financial Compliance (VFC), or comparable enterprise recording technology . Experience supporting Trader Voice, trading floor voice, regulatory call recording, or financial communications infrastructure . Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including: Networking Compute Storage Virtualization Data center technologies 2+ years of experience with virtualization technologies , such as VMware or Hyper-V. Experience with infrastructure lifecycle management, including: Patching Vulnerability remediation Platform upgrades Preventive maintenance Health checks Capacity and stability monitoring Platform decommissioning Experience supporting infrastructure or application migration and modernization projects . Understanding of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts and solutions. 2+ years of information security experience or significant experience supporting security requirements within enterprise infrastructure. Understanding of build/deployment pipelines, release management, and configuration management processes. Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. Ability to support business-critical infrastructure in a highly regulated enterprise environment.
