WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS DESIGN PROJECT LEAD

Remote - Anywhere in the U.S. (Preference for candidates located near a U.S.-based office)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Wireless Telecommunications Design Project Lead to support the design and delivery of wireless communication systems for mission-critical Data Center projects across the United States.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional with extensive experience designing Commercial DAS, Public Safety DAS, LMR, Wi-Fi, and wireless communication systems. In this role, you will lead projects from concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design of wireless telecommunications systems for data center facilities.
Design and model wireless systems using iBwave and EDX.
Develop designs for:
Commercial DAS
Public Safety DAS
Land Mobile Radio (LMR)
Site Radio
RoIP Systems
Wi-Fi Systems
Tower Studies
Coordinate with BIM designers to produce construction drawing packages.
Prepare and modify Division 27 telecommunications specifications.
Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), wireless carriers, and radio system owners.
Conduct site visits and field assessments.
Review technical documentation and resolve design issues.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal engineering teams throughout project execution.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or Technical degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing wireless telecommunications systems.
Strong experience with:
Commercial DAS
Public Safety DAS
Land Mobile Radio (LMR)
Site Radio
RoIP
Minimum 5 years of experience using iBwave, EDX, Atoll, LMR Planner, or similar RF modeling software.
Experience supporting wireless system design, optimization, troubleshooting, and field implementation.
Strong understanding of:
Noise Floor
SNIR
Return Loss
VSWR
Carrier KPIs
Knowledge of:
NFPA 72
NFPA 1221 / NFPA 1225
IFC Section 510
IBC
FCC Part 20 & Part 90
FCC OET Bulletin 65
Motorola R56 Standards

DMR Tier III
Experience preparing project budgets, schedules, proposals, and responding to RFPs.
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
iBwave Level 2 Certification is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience designing enterprise Wi-Fi systems.
EDX or Motorola design certifications.
FCC GROL
License.
NICET Design Certification.
Multiple OEM product certifications.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering.
EIT or PE license.
