$70/hour (W2)

Position Description:

We are seeking a Senior UI Developer with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and mobile application development to build high-performance, scalable applications. This role focuses on developing modern mobile experiences using Ionic React within a Capacitor WebView , with openness to candidates from a React Native background who can quickly adapt. This is an initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension based on the quality and speed of deliverables. You will play a key role in shaping front-end architecture, driving best practices, and delivering seamless, responsive user experiences in a highly collaborative, on-site environment in Birmingham, AL.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain mobile-first applications using React and TypeScript Build and enhance features within an Ionic React + Capacitor framework Contribute to front-end architecture , reusable components, and scalable design patterns Write clean, efficient, and well-documented TypeScript code Implement unit and integration testing using Jest and React Testing Library Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product teams Integrate applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and third-party platforms Mentor junior developers and promote best practices and code quality Participate in Agile development processes (scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives) Stay current with modern front-end and mobile development trends

Required Skills/Education:

10+ years of experience in software development , with a focus on front-end or mobile applications Strong expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript ( ES6+ ) Advanced proficiency in TypeScript Experience with mobile frameworks :

Capacitor Acceptable:

React Native (with ability to ramp quickly) Strong understanding of

HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS

, and responsive/mobile design Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar) Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library) Experience integrating with REST APIs and/or GraphQL backends Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Nice to
