Job Description

Lightcast is seeking an experienced digital designer to own the UX and visual design of our digital experiences, with primary responsibility for our corporate website. This role involves creating intuitive and engaging online experiences that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical requirements. Working closely with teams across marketing, product, engineering, and content, this designer will help build and scale Lightcast's digital presence. The ideal candidate combines strong UX and visual design expertise with excellent project management skills and a passion for building scalable digital experiences.

Major Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end UX and visual design of Lightcast's digital experiences, with primary responsibility for the corporate website. Lead website design initiatives from initial concept and mockups through visual design, implementation, launch, and post-launch testing. Design intuitive, scalable page templates and reusable components that enable content teams to publish efficiently while maintaining a consistent, high-quality user experience. Partner with marketing, product, engineering, and content teams to translate business objectives and user needs into exceptional digital experiences. Collaborate with the web development team throughout implementation to ensure design quality, consistency, responsiveness, and technical feasibility. Continuously improve user journeys and conversion opportunities through analytics, behavioral data, customer insights, SEO best practices, and A/B testing. Identify opportunities to improve website performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall usability. Manage multiple digital initiatives simultaneously by coordinating timelines, stakeholder feedback, priorities, and implementation. Help establish and improve processes that make Lightcast's website easier to manage, more AI-ready, and increasingly adaptable as the company grows. Education and Experience 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, product design, digital experience design, or a related discipline, ideally within a SaaS or B2B technology environment. A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX and design expertise, including research, user journeys, wireframes, polished UI, and successfully launched digital experiences. Experience designing for global audiences is a plus. Demonstrated experience designing modern, responsive websites that effectively balance user experience, business objectives, and technical feasibility. Advanced proficiency in Figma is preferred, along with a strong understanding of design systems, component libraries, responsive design, interaction design, and WCAG accessibility standards. Experience working with modern CMS platforms. Experience with DatoCMS is preferred, while familiarity with Contentful, Sanity, Webflow, or similar platforms is also valuable. Experience using analytics, user research, A/B testing, and conversion metrics to inform design decisions and optimize digital experiences. Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize competing initiatives, coordinate with stakeholders, and keep projects moving toward completion. Ability to communicate design rationale, gather feedback, and build alignment across marketing, product, engineering, and content teams.
