Job Description

We are looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join a team in New Jersey on a Long-term Contract basis. This role will guide digital product design from discovery and structure through interface creation, while working closely with creative, marketing, and engineering partners. The ideal candidate combines strong visual design judgment with practical experience in WordPress and can help deliver user-centered, accessible, and high-performing web experiences.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive user-centered design activities including discovery work, journey mapping, wireframe creation, and interactive prototyping for web experiences.
  • Create refined interface designs in Figma, applying strong standards for layout, typography, consistency, and usability.
  • Develop and enhance WordPress themes, page templates, and custom Gutenberg components to support scalable site experiences.
  • Translate approved designs into clean front-end code when needed, using semantic HTML and CSS to maintain quality and responsiveness.
  • Strengthen and expand the organization's design system, reusable components, and visual standards across digital products.
  • Plan and conduct usability reviews, then use behavioral insights and feedback data to improve the user experience.
  • Work closely with developers throughout implementation to ensure final builds accurately reflect the intended design direction.
  • Review existing digital pages for accessibility, responsiveness, and performance, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Monitor emerging UX and UI practices, bringing forward ideas that improve design effectiveness and overall product quality.
