  • RemoteFor our direct client, a prestigious global firm based in Northern New Jersey, we are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join their application development team.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, with an initial term of 6 months and the potential for extension. The role offers the flexibility of fully remote work, with occasional travel to the New Jersey office as needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Tool & Platform Design
  • Lead the design and redesign of internal digital platforms and tools, collaborating closely with design leadership and key stakeholders
  • Partner with research teams to plan, execute, and analyze user research to uncover employee pain points and workflow challenges
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and experience blueprints for internal systems
  • Design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex workflows and improve overall user efficiencyDesign & Prototyping
  • Create intuitive, user-centered interfaces for global technology initiatives
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with user needs and project objectives
  • Ensure all designs adhere to brand standards and industry best practices
  • Provide detailed annotations and specifications to support seamless handoff to development teamsDesign Tool Management
  • Create and manage scalable design systems within Figma
  • Follow best practices to maintain consistency, usability, and efficiency across design assetsDesign System Creation & Management
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems, including component libraries, design patterns, and style guides
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in design language across products and platforms
  • Establish processes for continuous updates and enhancements based on user feedback and evolving business needs
  • Ensure design systems are scalable and adaptable to new technologies and platformsDesign Leadership
  • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement
  • Lead collaborative design workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to drive alignment and innovation
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making related to design initiativesDeliverables
  • Business and user requirements documentation
  • Low-fidelity wireframes
  • High-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes
  • UX artifacts (journey maps, empathy maps, user flows)
  • Research findings and insight reports
  • Design system documentation and governanceSkills & Tools
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience designing B2B, AI-driven, or platform-based experiences is a plus
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma
  • Experience creating detailed user journey maps and workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional team environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, and Confluence is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
