Determines user preferences and assesses the process that users follow to access product functions; develops and tests new design models, and incorporates findings in to improved product design. Researches the behavior of internet users and consumers, compiles information about the target audience for a site, and develops website layout, design and technology features that improve accessibility and value for users.

- Starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience.

- Lead the planning, design, and development of user experiences for mission-critical devices, tools, and systems
- Establish and apply interaction standards, usability conventions, and visual design principles
- Collaborate with engineers, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders to gather and refine user requirements
- Develop wireframes, screen mockups, and prototypes to support design concepts and system functionality
- Participate in design trade-off discussions to balance usability, technical constraints, and mission needs
- Analyze tools, platforms, and technologies to enhance user interaction and system effectiveness
- visualization and screen design expertise to deliver intuitive, accessible, and effective interfaces
- Support customer understanding of emerging interaction techniques and design approaches Qualifications
Required Education & Years of Experience:
- Ten (10) years of professional experience in User Experience (UX) Design
- Five (5) years of experience within the past ten (10) years leading or supporting project lifecycle design efforts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Four (4) additional years of relevant UX design experience on comparable projects may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Demonstrated experience designing for complex systems or enterprise-level applications
- Ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams About WOOD
