A User Interface or User Experience (UI / UX) Designer assists with technology design to make products easier for people to use. Determines user preferences and assesses the process that users follow to access product functions; develops and tests new design models, and incorporates findings in to improved product design. Researches the behavior of internet users and consumers, compiles information about the target audience for a site, and develops website layout, design and technology features that improve accessibility and value for users.
$70 - 75 per hour The UX/UI Designer is responsible for solving customer experience pain points through exceptional design for consumer and professional-facing websites and web applications. This role combines a passion for efficient design flows with the ability to create simple, intuitive experiences that support both business objectives and user goals. Utilizing design thinking and user-centric methodologies, the designer will leverage an established internal design system and ensure accessibility compliance to deliver holistic designs and prototypes. By utilizing UX research and journey mapping, the role aims to deeply understand the user and optimize touch points across the entire customer journey while contributing to the design team's overarching best practices.
Responsibilities:
UX/UI Design Create designs for user scenarios, process flows, annotated wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts for assigned projects per standard design delivery metrics. Multi-task across different projects and adapt seamlessly to changing priorities. Collaborate cross-functionally with the Design Team, Product Managers, Platform Design System team, and Business Stakeholders. UX Research Gather and analyze information regarding user needs from stakeholder interviews, functional and non-functional specifications, usability studies, and surveys. Conduct benchmarking and requirements gathering, utilizing data to actively inform design decision-making. Design System Integration Become an expert in the internal company Design System. Leverage and extend the use of established design systems, style guides, patterns, and assets in the creation of UX deliverables. Contribute to the care and upkeep of the shared Design System by practicing standardized delivery methods. Collaborate with the platform team to solve unique design system requirements. Production Design Support Support UX/UI Design leads to complete design delivery ahead of critical project deadlines. Support the development and execution of A/B testing across digital platforms in partnership with the Testing Digital Product Owner. General Responsibilities Create and deliver UX/UI research and design in support of digital products and projects using Figma, Miro, UserTesting, and Journey Track. Support the continuous upkeep and evolution of the enterprise Design System. Contribute positively to the internal design team's evolution and overall impact within the company.
