Job Description

Description Carnegie Mellon School of Drama seeks an adjunct instructor to teach Embedded Electronics , semester-long courses that are part of the Production Technology program in the School of Drama. Embedded Electronics explores the use of micro-electronics driven by software such as Arduino in props, scenery and costumes used in entertainment production. This course is part of the curriculum for MFA and BFA students Production Technology, Technical Direction, Sound Design, Costume Production and Video and Media Design. The anticipated start date for this position is August 24, 2026 & continues through the Fall 2026 semester. The position is in-person, based in Pittsburgh, PA. Qualifications Successful applicants will have experience in micro-electronics system (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.) design, programming and usage and/or experience in network design and implementation in an entertainment setting. A degree in entertainment production is preferred, as is teaching experience at the university level.
