Game Master

Ravenchase Adventures:

Escape Room RVA is seeking Game Masters in the Richmond, VA area! We are looking for fun, creative, and hard-working souls who are excited about the adventures we can present to our customers. Our location offers 4 unique adventures with immersive environments that our guest get to explore. This job is very part-time, and candidates should also understand that they will typically only work 2-3 shifts a week, which depend on bookings .

Responsibilities:

• Setting up reservations over the phone with potential customers
• Pleasantly greeting and checking-in players at the front desk
• Introducing the game and its rules to each group before loading them into a room
• Resetting the rooms before and after each play-through
• Incidental prop maintenance
• Track player progress in our control center in order to provide timely clues when asked, as well as control certain game play elements At the end of the day this IS a customer service based job; though not your typical type.

Preferred characteristics:

• Excellent customer service. Customer service will nearly always be our primary objective.
• Good memory. Memorizing and resetting rooms by heart will be required of all Game Masters 2 weeks after hiring date.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Availability. Weekend availability is a must as they will be by far our busiest days, though we need people who can pick up Wednesday-Friday shifts as well.
• Hard working. Busy days will feel less like a part-time job and more like putting on a stage production, so potential employees must show up engaged and ready to handle a rush.
• Creative. All of our rooms and puzzles are created completely within house by employees of the rooms and then sent to our build team. We welcome and encourage all ideas in regards to our rooms.
• Fun.
