Starting Salary Range:
$72,946•85,000 The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks a Front-End Web Designer who has a passion for public service to join the Information Resources Division (IRD). Located in downtown Richmond, the SCC is an independent state agency that balances the interests of citizens, businesses, and customers in regulating Virginias business and economic concerns. The Front-End Web Designer maintains the SCCs website to support and expand the publics understanding of the mission and work of the Commission. This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, including 3 days in office and 2 days of teleworking each week. The SCC offers on-the-job training, professional development opportunities, and career growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee, coordinate, and maintain the SCCs website Review the design and functionality of the SCC website and recommend improvements and upgrades Provide administration and direction for the content management system (CMS) and associated vendors (Terminalfour and SiteImprove) Optimize website for search engines to improve visibility and attract more visitors Analyze website performance metrics to identify areas for improvement Format, update, and post online content and intranet (SharePoint) content in coordination with Commission staff Monitor and audit the SCCs website and intranet for full compliance with applicable accessibility standards including the Virginians with Disabilities Act, Code of Virginia Information Technology Access Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Respond to user feedback sent to the SCC webmaster email account Perform related work as required
