This project is highly visible, and highly impactful. You will be responsible for setting the direction and architecture of our application. You will work with designers, QA teams, and other cross-functional teams to go beyond code and influence everything from UI to project planning. Description The Creativity Apps teams is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer, with prior experience building v0 to v1 applications. Ideally, you have a full-stack understanding of apps and can jump in elsewhere if needed. You will play a key role in bringing our application to production readiness. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 7+ years of proven experience shipping scalable, maintainable, and testable code to user-facing production Deep experience with one or more MVC web frameworks, Java / Python / Ruby, Redis, Kubernetes/DevOps Architected high-quality backend systems from the ground up and maintained legacy systems Preferred Qualifications Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Typescript, Tailwind, HTML/CSS Working knowledge of web security and vulnerabilities Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and manage multiple priorities Willingness to ask for help, learn from others, and mentor others Committed to encouraging an open and inclusive work environment Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 and $302,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
